ACIDITY… who in the world has not faced the problem of acidity? That restlessness, feeling urge to vomit, the furious burning sensation in your stomach,etc. I think we all can agree that it is one of the worst kinds of problem to deal with.

When you face the problem of acidity it hurts u and your concentration levels really badly. All we do is take an antacid tablets or drink soda. Here I m sharing with u the best of home remedies that will help you cure your acidity problem.

WATER: The basic remedy of all is chilled water. Whenever you feel the burning sensation just you’re your refrigerator and drink some chilled water (approximately 2 glass of water). Drink the water mouthful after mouthful slowly. This would help reduce acidic level of your stomach.

BUTTERMILK: In Sanskrit there is a saying for buttermilk,” Yatha Suranam Amrutam Hitaya…Tatha Naranam Bhumi Takra Wahu.” This means, like God in the heaven are blessed with Elixir likewise god has blessed mankind with the elixir called ‘Buttermilk.’ It is believed that if u drink buttermilk twice every day after your meals you will live for hundreds of years. Buttermilk is one of the bestest remedy for acidity.

BASIL LEAVE AND HONEY:  Take some basil leaves and crush it off to extract juice. Now add 1 table spoon of honey to 2 table spoon of juice and consume it. This will reduce the burning sensations and acidic level from your body. ( do it just once daily)

SUGARCANE OR POMEGRANATE JUICE: Drinking chilled and fresh sugarcane juice or pomegranate juice helps you control your acidity level. (Remember to drink the juice slowly and mouthful by mouthful.)

CHILLED MILK: Take 1 cup chilled milk and add 2 tea spoon of sugar and mix it well. Now, drink the milk. Do this twice daily and u will get relief from acidic problems.

CINNAMON: Just adding cinnamon powder to your meals can help you recover from acidity.

CLOVES:  If u are facing the problem of acidity, just take 2 cloves and chew it. This will help u reduce acidic level in your stomach.

JAGGERY: Take a piece of jiggery and eat it. Its juice when mixed with your saliva would gift you relief from acidity. You may do this max up to 4times. (not recommended for diabetic patients)

CUMIN POWDER: Incorporating cumin powder with your meals would help you improve you digestion and in turn help in reducing acidic level of your stomach. You may also consume it by mixing it with buttermilk. This would help you reduce your acidity more quickly.

ALOE VERA JUICE: Aloe Vera helps to neutralize the acidic levels of your stomach. Drinking 1 glass aloe Vera juice daily would help you reduce your acidity.

CHEW ICE CUBES: Yes you heard it right. Chewing 1 or 2 ice cubes will reduce your acidity quickly and you will be free from the burning sensations. (Not recommended for person with cold, fever, teeth sensitivity problems or anyone with tonsil problems too.)

CLARIFIED BUTTER (GHEE): Consuming about 1 teaspoon of clarified butter directly in the morning after you brush your teeth will help you cure your any type of acidity problems. It’s the best long term remedy. Do this daily in the morning for about 1 month or more until you feel your acidity problem is gone. (You can simply swallow the clarified butter using water.

FENNEL: Fennel (Sauf) is a type of mouth freshener that helps you not only reduces your acidity but also gets rid of the bad breath. Eating fennel daily after meals would help you overcome your acidity.

MINT LEAVES JUICE: Mint Leaves are well known for cooling effect and drinking mint leaves juice for a week can also help u cure acidity level in your body.

YOGURT: Consuming daily 1 bowl full of yogurt helps in reducing the acidic level in the body.

VANILLA ICE CREAM: Eating Vanilla ice cream when you feel the burning sensation in your stomach would help you reduce acidity.

COCONUT WATER: Drinking Coconut Water daily would help you keep your digestive system and acidic levels in your stomach fine.

ALSO:
Try not to eat too much hot and spicy food.
Don’t drink too much alcohol and don’t smoke too much
Eat 5minimum 5 small meals daily to maintain normal acidic level of your stomach.
Take proper sleep of minimum 7 hrs at night daily.
Avoid stress.
